Bent County Sheriff's Office Warns of Local Phone Scam

The Bent County Sheriffs Office has been notified that scammers are using false names acting like Bent County Deputies to try to scam people by phone. The scammer that has been reported is using the name Sgt. Justin or Jason Elliott telling the victim that they have active warrants for their arrest. The scammer then requests date of birth and email address. If you receive these phone calls please contact your local law enforcement and report this incident.
