Internet links: Before I send out each update, I check the links to make sure they are active. However, links do change from time to time, so the links I sent out today may not be the same tomorrow. You may have to search around a bit.
Today (Tuesday, 1/25/2022) the Otero County Health Department (OCHD) joins many other state-wide sites in distributing free masks to those that want them. There is a limit of 5 masks per person per month.
Please remember, a mask does not eliminate your risk of getting COVID-19, but if worn appropriately it can reduce your risk.

Wearing a mask appropriately, in addition to taking other preventive measures, will lower your risk even further. Think about “Swiss Cheese." Confused, then please see the attachment for some clarification. The diagram was made before COVID-19 vaccinations were available, so mentally put another piece of Swiss Cheese in there labeled “Vaccinations”.
