Lady Lions Basketball Defeated by Sangre De Cristo
The Swink Lady Lions faced the Sangre De Cristo Lady Thunderbirds in non-league competition Friday afternoon (1-28-22) in Swink.

It was a close first quarter with Swink posting 8 points, and Sangre De Cristo putting up seven during the first.

Sange had the lead at the end of the second quarter with nineteen points on the board against the Lady Lions fifteen points.
The Lady Thunderbirds increased their lead by nine points through the third quarter by putting up seventeen more points, while the Lady Lions only added twelve during the third.

With both teams at six fouls by the third they spent some time at the free-throw line. By the end of the third the score was 27-36 in Sange's favor.
Sangre posted twelve more points in a tough fourth quarter, while Swink only added five more points to their side of the scoreboard.
Both teams spent more time at the line during the final quarter as they added more fouls to the board. Swink finished with nine team fouls and Sangre De Cristo had ten.
The winner of the game was decided at the free-throw line.
The final score was 32 - 48 with the Sangre De Cristo Lady Thunderbirds taking the win.
