La Junta Senior Golf League - results for May 10, 2022

The La Junta Senior Golf League played on Tuesday, May 10, at the La Junta Golf Course. 39 players entered and split into eight teams.
A “toss” game was played: each player threw one ball for the round from off the green for an extension of their shot. It made for some pretty low scores. In addition, a “straightest drive” challenge was played. The team of Paul Roman, Mary Lou Day, Bob May, Virgil Lindsay and Dennis Golding were the winners of straightest drive. Seven golfers make the putting challenge on hole #9: Jim Bonewell, Ron Bay, Pat Englebrecht, Dennis Golding, Jim Thayer, Carl Anderson, and Marvin Kibler. No one was able to make the challenge chip on hole #7.
The League will meet again next Tuesday; register starting at 9:15-9:30 and play will begin at 10:00 am. Golfers cannot register later than when teams are being made at 9:45. Call 469-0691 if you are coming, but may be late to register.
