Semi VS Truck and Trailer on US Hwy 50 in La Junta
On May 17, 2022, at approximately 4 PM, La Junta Police Department responded to US Highway 50 and Cucharra Street in La Junta on a report of a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a semi was attempting to turn left from Cucharra Street onto westbound US Highway 50 and collided with a pickup and trailer that was traveling east on US Highway 50.
There were no reported injuries, the Semi and trailer towed by the pickup were damaged. The driver of the semi was cited for careless driving.
