La Junta Senior Golf League - Results for June 7, 2022
By Janet Golding
The La Junta Senior Golf League had 37 participants (8 teams of 4 and 1 team of 5). Today we played two different games. The first was a par three scramble on every hole. The second game was a special chip or putt on alternating holes with a score for every player. The highest and lowest scores for the putting holes were kept as a team score and the two lowest scores on the chipping holes were kept as a team score.
The challenge chip was on the practice green; no one was able to win that. Mary Lou Day was able to make one of the designated putts in one try.
Next Tuesday, June 14, 2022, we will play the normal scramble format. Register to play starting at 9:15-9:30 and play will begin at approximately 10:00 AM. Golfers cannot register later than when teams are being made at approximately 9:45. Call 469-0691 if you are coming by 10:00 but may be late to register.
