This morning at approx 0957 a reported structure fire was paged out. Upon arrival of Chief Davidson, moderate smoke was visible from the back of the house.
All occupants were out of the house. It was found a fire was burning on the back deck starting to spread up the siding of the back of the house.
A quick aggressive knockdown by the crew stopped the fire spread. Overhaul began to make sure no fire extension to the inside of the house. Ventilation fans used to remove smoke from the inside. Cause of the fire was from discarded cigarettes in a planter box.
