Buffalo Robes For Beads: A Fur Trade Program at Bent's Old Fort
Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site still has spaces available for our next three scheduled offerings of Buffalo Robes for Beads: A Fur Trade Program! If you want a fun way to spend a morning, then this is the program for you!
The programs are scheduled for Saturday, July 23, Tuesday, July 26, and Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. It will last approximately 1 hour to an hour and a half.
It is free for children between 6 and 15 years old. Parents who attend also are free.
Join us for a fun activity at our adobe castle here in La Junta, Colorado. Participants will "trade" furs for beads, make a necklace with reproduction beads and learn about the peaceful fur trade with Native Americans here at Bent's Fort during the mid-1800s.
Please call to make a reservation (719)-384-2800. Space is limited.
