Five Injured in Single Vehicle Accident in Rocky Ford

At approximately 10:20pm last night we were paged to the 300 block of Elm Avenue for a 1 vehicle accident with multiple injuries involved, and vehicle on fire. 

Upon arrival 2 patients appeared to have been ejected, and 3 more patients still in vehicle.  Fire was extinguished and extrication rescue was utilized to remove patients from vehicle. 

We requested mutual aid support from MedTrans AMR, and La Junta Fire/EMS due to multiple patients needing transported and station coverage. 

Flight For Life Lifeguard 4 and UC Health Lifeline 5 air transported one patient each.  The cause of accident is being investigated by RFPD with the assistance of CSP and OCSO.  All units cleared at 1:30 am.
