12/13/22 Closures and Delays

Otero Courthouse and all Otero County Offices are on a 2 hour delay.

East otero school district classes are canceled today, December 13th, due to weather.

Swink Schools has canceled classes.

Las Animas School District has cancelled school today - Tuesday, Dec. 13 due to inclement weather.   Please spread the word. This also includes The Early Center daycare and Jumpstart program.

Due to weather, La Junta CDS is on a two-hour delay Tuesday, December 13.

City of Rocky Ford Offices open at 10 am.

Rocky Ford School District will have a 2 hour delay today, Tuesday, Dec. 13, because of the weather.

Manzanola School District will be on a two-hour delay this morning, Tuesday, December 13, 2022 due to weather conditions.

Due to inclement weather conditions, Crowley County School District will be closed today, December 13, 2022.

Cheraw Schools closed today, Tuesday, December 13th, due to weather conditions. 

Fowler Schools are OPEN and ON TIME today. Contact the office if you will be absent or late. Dress warmly, allow extra time, and travel safely!

The Southeast Colorado Workforce Center's in La Junta, Lamar, Trinidad and Walsenburg will be operating on a 2-hour delay, opening at 10:00am today.

Bent County Public Health will be opening at noon, the office number is 719 456-0517

The trial courts and probation in Otero, Bent, and Crowley Counties are all on a two-hour delay this morning.
 
Bent County Transit will not be running today.
 
Bent County Courthouse offices will open at noon today.
 
The La Junta Senior Center is Open and La Junta City Busses are running on schedule, however Sage Sevices will not be delivering meals today due to road conditions.
 
Teen Activities Group at Woodruff Memorial Library is cancelled for this evening due to snow and ice. We will resume on 1/3/23, 4:30-6pm (new time).
 
Classes at Otero College are canceled and campus will be closed today. LEA Graduation WILL take place at 10:00 a.m. This closure includes all faculty and staff with the exception of essential personnel. Classes will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Please use your best judgement and caution if traveling to the graduation this morning.
 
Drive only if it is absolutely necessary. If you must: travel in the day; don't travel alone; keep others informed of your schedule and your route; stay on main roads and avoid back road shortcuts. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
 
Walk carefully on snowy, icy, walkways.
