La Junta Rotary Treat Street = A Happy Halloween For Many
Description: The La Junta Rotary Hosted Hundreds of Trick-or-Treaters at their Treat Street Event on Halloween. Many Local Businesses and Organizations Shared Candy with The Community.
La Junta Rotary Treat Street Event Successful
Hundreds of people attended the La Junta Rotary Treat Street Event. At times the line wrapped around Colorado Avenue and down 2nd Street.
It looks like a longer wait than it really was. It was great to see the community together having a good time.
Some volunteers used salad tongs to give out candy. It seemed to result in generous portions.
Clean Valley Recycling was one of many area nonprofits in attendance. This wicked witch was actually very friendly.
There was a lot of candy and there were also many creative and entertaining delivery methods. This contraption actually catapulted the candy to the trick-or-treaters.
Swink students and cheerleaders helped hand out candy too.
Some volunteers did double-time and served with two scoops.
The friendly staff from Woodruff Memorial Library was on hand to distribute candy.
This local artist posed with the jack o'lanterns she crafted.
This porcelain pumpkin was finely detailed to look just rotten enough.
The game and candy booths were a good distance from each other, and the path was marked with construction cones and yellow tape.
Several local businesses were on hand to help distribute candy to trick-or-treaters, like The Barista.
I bet if you ask nice enough the new Barista owners could deliver a Pumpkin Spice Latte this way.
Al's Welding Service was ready to get to work, they definitely had the toughest gloves and masks there. Al even lifted his welding mask for a photo.
The First Presbyterian Church of La Junta was there too. MJ tried her best, but it's hard to look scary when the community knows you're so friendly.
The La Junta Rotary Club did a great job bringing the community together for their Treat Street event this Halloween in La Junta. This celebration of community was just when the community needed it most. We hope to see the La Junta Rotary bring all their friends out for Halloween in La Junta again.
