Donna Rhode, Otero County Department of Human Services Director reported to the commissioners.
Financials were approved by the Otero County Commissioners.
They discussed a Tri County Family Care Center contract for $25,000, which covers work they do for taniff programs. The contract was Approved.
Valley Wide Mutual Operating Agreement
Rhode said the MOA pertains to communications and sharing patient information more freely between the Otero County Department of Human Services and care coordination.
The commissioners discussed HIPAA, which allows free sharing of information as long as they are medical providers, they would include a waiver as well, Rhode said.
The MOA was approved by the board.
Hotline County Connection Center in Lamar, handles child welfare and other calls after hours. The Contract total $1,641. There were 118 calls last year.
Rhode said, "It's definitely worth $1,600."
The commissioners approved the contract.
Leap officially started November 1st. According to Rhode, over 567 applications have been received and approximately 295 have been approved, with 257 pending. Amounts this year are based on poverty level, which is different than last year, according to Rhode.
