Traffic Update April 10 - April 14
Ongoing Traffic Impacts
Otero County- CO HWY 109 Bridge Rehabilitation and Improvements Project consists of work on structure M-22-AY carrying SH 109 over US 50, BNSF Railroad, and the Arkansas River between MP 56.38 and MP 56.88.
The work includes removing existing asphalt surfacing, class 2 and 3 deck repairs, patching concrete piers, bearing repair corbels, fiber-reinforced polymer wrap, waterproofing membrane, asphalt surfacing, and a mill and overlay on the roadway approaches. The estimated completion is February 2024.
Monday, March 27 to Friday, April 07 work will consist of:
● Eastbound and westbound intermittent one-lane road closure on US 50 at CO 109 intersection
● Expect intermittent flagging during construction
The project will be in operation Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information about this project, contact the project team at:
