April 18, 2023 La Junta Senior Golf League Results

The 2023 La Junta Senior Golf league started the season on April 18 at 10:00 am. With 38 golfers, a scramble format was played.  A challenge putt, on hole #2, was made by seven golfers: Claudia Conley, Elaine McIntyre, Jay Bollacker, Joe McClain, Alan Root, Bob May, and John Lockhart. The challenge chip, worth $42 on hole #7 went unclaimed as no one made the chip.

Players were reminded to sign up to play at 9:30 and teams are picked at 9:45.   For the teams to be as evenly matched as possible, no one can be added once that process has begun.  Anyone a few minutes late, but will be on the course by 10:00 am, call 469-0691 to be signed up. There has been good cooperation about the sign up process, thank you.
 
Delicious cupcakes after the round were provided by CaSandra Thomas.  Next week is a raffle for a new golf bag donated by Alex Prosky.  All golfers that sign up for play will be eligible to win!

New players over 55 years old are welcome!

Due to weather reports, we have decided to cancel the Senior Golf League tomorrow April 25.  We will plan on meeting again the next Tuesday morning at the same time on May 2. Hope we get some good moisture from this storm!
