OTERO COUNTY - CO 109 Bridge Rehabilitation and Improvements Project consists of work on structure M-22-AY carrying CO 109 over US 50, BNSF Railroad, and the Arkansas River between MP 56.38 and MP 56.88. The work includes removing existing asphalt surfacing, class 2 and 3 deck repairs, patching concrete piers, bearing repair corbels, fiber-reinforced polymer wrap, waterproofing membrane, asphalt surfacing, and a mill and overlay on the roadway approaches. 

Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 9 work will consist of:

  • Eastbound and westbound intermittent one-lane road closure on US 50 at CO 109 intersection on June 6th

  • Expect intermittent flagging during construction

Project Schedule

  • The project will be in operation Monday though Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Project is anticipated to end in February of 2024
