CO HWY 109 Bridge Rehabilitation and Improvements Project
OTERO COUNTY - CO 109 Bridge Rehabilitation and Improvements Project consists of work on structure M-22-AY carrying SH 109 over US 50, BNSF Railroad, and the Arkansas River between MP 56.38 and MP 56.88. The work includes removing existing asphalt surfacing, class 2 and 3 deck repairs, patching concrete piers, bearing repair corbels, fiber-reinforced polymer wrap, waterproofing membrane, asphalt surfacing, and a mill and overlay on the roadway approaches.
Traffic Impacts
Monday, July 17th to Friday, July 21st work will consist of:

Eastbound and Westbound intermittent single-lane closures with intermittent flagging on US 50

Northbound and Southbound one lane road closure resulting in alternating traffic controlled by a temporary signal with intermittent flagging on CO 109 over BNSF and Arkansas River
Project Schedule
- The project will be in operation Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- The project is anticipated to end in February 2024
