Description: Bent County Public Health Announces Move To Level Red on COVID-19 Dial Effective Friday December 4th.
Bent County will be moving from Level Orange to level Red effective Friday, December 4, 2020 at 5 pm.
Please review the attached documents and adjust accordingly.
Below are more details from CDPHE regarding the change:
On November 19, 2020, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) notified Bent County Public Health Agency that the county’s incidence rate had exceeded COVID-19 Dial Level thresholds for Blue, and subsequently the county was moved to Level Orange to facilitate additional restrictions to try and control viral spread. At that time, the county’s COVID-19 metrics were as follows:
l Two-week cumulative incidence rate: 310.45/100,000 people
l Percent positivity: 4.68%
l 2-week COVID-19 case count (new cases): 18
As of today, the county’s COVID-19 metrics are as follows:
l Two-week cumulative incidence rate: 1000.34/100,000 people
l Percent positivity: 6.56%
l 2-week COVID-19 case count (new cases): 58
Given the increase in incidence rate, case count and percent testing positivity, an implementation of additional restrictions is warranted. As such, CDPHE is moving Bent County to COVID-19 Dial Level Red.
