Rocky Ford Police Officer Injured During Arrest of Armed Suspect

Don’t come visit Rocky Ford from the Springs and start throwing rocks through windows in our city, damaging property that you don’t own and then attempt to elude our talented police officers. 

Carrying a 12” bladed knife up your sleeve that cuts one of our officers while taking you into custody, well, that’s a whole other problem.

Officer “Pork Chop” Powell is fine, thankfully and powered through the apprehension process of this male party, despite his injury. 

The male party is being charged as we write this, with carrying a concealed weapon and criminal mischief. He’ll be required to have the matter heard at the Otero County Court, soon.

***All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law***
