La Junta Senior Golf League - Results for June 25

The La Junta Senior Golf League met June 25, 2024, for 9 holes of scramble golf. There were 45 golfers to make nine teams of 5 players each.  Every player got two mulligans per round, one on the tee box and one anywhere else.  The big news is that Mackie O’Neal won the chipping contest placed on hole #9 under the trees on the back of the green.  Congratulations Mackie!  The last time the challenge chip was won was July 18, 2023.  Six senior golfers were able to make the challenge putt that was on hole #6: Ross Bender, Tom Aldea, Stan Lindsay, Janet Golding, Larry Herrera, and Phillip Buford.

Wear your red, white and blue, or decorate your cart if you like, and join us for nine holes of scramble golf.  To make things interesting, on one hole, golfers will only be able to use their driver and perhaps another special feature.

We will begin sign up at 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m.   No one will be added to the teams after 8:45, so if there is a chance of being late for sign up, give Cathy a call or text at 719-469-0691 so you can be put on the list.
