No Foul Play Suspected in Rocky Ford Shooting; Investigation Ongoing

July 18th, 2024

On July 17th, 2024 at approximately 10:50pm officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Swink Ave in reference to a shooting.  A male party was located and pronounced deceased on the scene by the Otero County Coroner's Office.  At this time no foul play is suspected and there is no threat to the community.  

An autopsy will be scheduled in Colorado Springs with the El Paso County Coroner's Office and the name of the deceased will be released by the Otero County Coroner's Office.

Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased during this difficult time.
