La Junta Senior Golf League Results - July 2, 2024

La Junta Senior Golf League celebrated Independence Day on July 2, with nine holes of scramble golf. Forty-eight golfers were present and we split up into eight teams of six golfers. On hole #3, all golfers could only use their driver which made for some interesting play. There was a challenge chip on hole #8 and Rob Tryon made that chip. The challenge putt was on hole #4 and seven golfers made that putt: Ron Bay, Clark Claycomb, Dianna Milenski, Sheila McClain, John Lockhart, Mike Bauserman, Douglas Golding.  There were also bonus putts on holes 2, 3, and 7 and Mary Lou Day and Rob Tryon made one of those putts.

CaSandra Thomas made a red/white/blue dessert as we celebrated Independence Day following the round of golf.

Next Tuesday, July 9, we will meet again for nine holes of scramble golf with bonus chips to help with the team score. We will begin sign up at 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m.   No one will be added to the teams after 8:45, when teams are picked, so if there is a chance of being late for sign up, give Cathy a call or text at 719-469-0691 so you can be put on the list.
