Bent County Sheriff's Office Discovers Fentanyl in DUI Arrest
On Friday, July 19, 2024, deputies from the Bent County Sheriff’s Office impounded a Chevrolet Trailblazer in connection with a driving under the influence (DUI) arrest. During the incident, suspected drugs were discovered inside the vehicle.
A search warrant was obtained, leading to a thorough investigation of the vehicle. The following items were uncovered:
• 151 pills of Fentanyl weighing 16.8 grams
• 3.1 grams of a white powder
• A digital scale
• Numerous unused clear plastic bags
• A portable water bong
• Various improvised drug paraphernalia
A warrant was issued for the driver, who is now in custody. The Bent County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to combating drug-related offenses and ensuring the safety of our community.
