Two Arrested and Fentanyl and Firearms Seized in La Junta Drug Bust
 
On August 2nd, 2024, officers with the La Junta Police Department executed a search warrant in the 800 Block of Adams Ave in La Junta, CO.
 
 
As a result of the search, two handguns, large quantities of fentanyl, and other controlled substances were seized.
 
 
The residents, 43-year-old Paul Gonzales Jr and 42-year-old Shannon Aragon Trujillo were both arrested and charged with the distribution of controlled substances.
 
The La Junta Police Department would like to thank the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Otero County Sheriff's Office for their help. 
 
All persons are presumed Innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law. *The charges are merely accusations, and all persons are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of Law*
