Obituary

Dee Ham, 53, of Ordway died August 13, 2024 at her home unexpectantly. Dee was born in Rocky Ford to Dale and Diana Ham. She grew up and spent her whole life in Rocky Ford, until moving to Ordway in the early 2000’s. She was proud to be part of the Ordway community. Dee was an EMT for Crowley County, volunteer firefighter for Olney Springs and was also in the nursing profession. Dee was proud to follow her mother into nursing.

Dee was a loving mother who adored her children. She loved taking family photos, but never wanted to be in them. She liked to cook, and enjoyed gardening, raising her flowers as well as growing vegetables. Her favorite colors were teal, green and turquoise. She loved dragons, roses, lilies, butterflies and the mountains. Dee enjoyed sports. When she was in high school, she was on the swim team and she was sure to be there to watch her daughter play sports and always root her on. Dee was also an artist and loved creating beautiful artwork. She liked to do puzzles, listen to music, and watch movies. She likes anything with Elvis or John Wayne and also enjoyed Star Wars. Dee liked to wear her jeans and boots, she liked her pick up truck and doing cattle work. She also enjoyed traveling, the only states she did not make it to were Alaska and Hawaii.
