Rocky Ford Fire Dept VS Abandoned Building Fire

September 8th, 2024 - Rocky Ford Police Department - Rocky Ford, CO

On September 8th, 2024 at approximately 6 pm the Rocky Ford Communications Center received calls for a structure fire in the area of 12th and Railroad.  Rocky Ford Fire and EMS along with the Rocky Ford Police Department responded and located a vacant building that was fully engulfed.  Mutual aid was requested from several other local agencies to assist in fighting the fire.

There were no injuries reported and an investigation is ongoing to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
