La Junta Fire Department VS Vehicle Fire on Rd CC
At approx 1053 this morning, we responded to a vehicle fire on RD CC just West of Rd 24.
Upon arrival we found an older flat bed truck fully engulfed on the side of the road. A quick attack with a 1 3/4 cross lay knocked the fire down and wet down surrounding area where some weeds and grass had caught fire as well.
After fully extinguished, the cause of the fire was determined to be from a mechanical failure.
No injuries were reported. OCSO assisted with traffic control as well.
