La Junta Senior Golf League Results Sept 17, 2024
The La Junta Senior Golf League players were “blowing in the wind” on September 17. The wind was brutal after we started playing, but we still had 39 players. We broke up into seven teams of 5 players and one team of 4 players. One new player was introduced, Ron Ward. An announcement for players to sign up for the La Junta High School Hall of Fame tournament was made; there will be a senior division if there are enough senior players.
The challenge chip was on hole #7 and no one was able to make the chip. The challenge putt was on hole #7 and Dennis Golding made that putt. We played a scramble format with extra putts on the even holes. Any extra putts that were made let the team lower their score by that many strokes

There is NO SENIOR GOLF next Tuesday, September 24. The league resumes on Tuesday October 1. It will be a similar game to what was played this week, extra putts made will help lower your team score and may let the team tee off at closer tee boxes. Sign up is from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m. No one will be added to the teams after 8:45, when teams are picked, so if there is a chance of being late for sign up, give Cathy a call or text at 719-469-0691 so you can be put on the list.
