10th Annual Boggsville Days Had Record Attendance

The 2024 Boggsville Days was a success, with a record number of 337 attendees. Adding the volunteers involved, the figure would be over 400, according to Anita Pointon, Boggsville Director.

Games for children, a pulled-pork lunch, an adobe demonstration, wagon rides, a photo booth, entertainment, gun fights, a chuckwagon where people could churn butter, branding demonstrations, tours of the buildings, people in period clothing and merchandise booths were among the attractions of the day.
Although the day was warm, a breeze helped keep the visitors cool. This young girl makes sure she has a good hold on her doll during a gust.
Pointon said that four of Richard Carrillo’s family and colleagues were in attendance, and provided an adobe demonstration while repairing one of the hornos.
When mud was needed to help fix a horno, talking a few kids into getting their hands and feet muddy was not a difficult task at all.
Prior to the celebration, Boy Scout Troop 218 cleaned up small branches that had been left when some trees were thinned.
