La Junta Senior Golf League Results Oct 1, 2024
The La Junta Senior Golf League returned for play on October 1, 2024. Thirty-six players were present making nine teams of four players. We had one new player join us, Dale Ensor. There was a flag to mark an extra putt on every hole, and teams were rewarded for any extra putt made by lowering the team score. If a second putt was made, the team moved forward one tee box on the next hole.
The challenge chip was on hole #2; no one was able to make the chip. The challenge putt on hole #6 was made by Mackie O’Neal, Clark Claycomb, Matt Perea, Rob Tryon, Rocky Mueller, and Ross Bender.
If the weather holds out, our final game of the season will be October 15. The weather forecast is not real hopeful, but we will play if we can. The plan is for a par 3 course on this date.
As always, sign up is from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m. No one will be added to the teams after 8:45, when teams are picked, so if there is a chance of being late for sign up, give Cathy a call or text at 719-469-0691 so you can be put on the list.
