La Junta Senior Golf League Results Oct 15, 2024

The La Junta Senior Golf League finished out the 2024 season with a par-three course specially designed by Mike Bauserman and Jay Bollacker.  Thirty-three senior golfers came out to play nine holes of scramble golf.  There were 6 teams of five players and 1 team of three players. No one made either of the two challenge chips on holes #5 and #9. The challenge putt was on hole #2 and was made by Jay Bollacker. Jay offered a prize to any team that got a birdie on hole #2 (the tee box placement was formidable); the team of Larry Herrera, Frank McKenzie, Brad Swartz, Keith Waggoner and Bob Malden were up to the challenge and made the birdie.

CaSandra Thomas provided cupcakes this week also. Tom Aldea’s birthday was recognized, and all enjoyed the cupcakes.

Jay will put out some final statistics about the league for the 2024 season and Cathy will get them sent out to everyone on the email chain.
