Lamar Police VS Alleged Santa Scammer

To follow up on another Facebook page post of the Lamar Police Department arresting Santa Claus yesterday.  

Officers were dispatched to The Tavern in regard to a male dressed as Santa Claus asking for money for Toys for Tots from the people that were dinning in the restaurant.  Officers were given the description of the vehicle Santa left in.  

Officers were able to contact the vehicle minutes later.  Al Burke (Scammer Santa) was arrested on a parole warrant out of Otero County.  Burke is being held on a $1500.00 bond at The Prowers County Jail.

Beware of the holiday scammers!!! Rest assured we did not arrest the real Santa, this one was an imposter.

All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty.
