Rocky Ford Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following February 7th Motor Vehicle Crash

February 14th, 2025 - Rocky Ford Police Department - Rocky Ford, CO

We would like to provide an update regarding the investigation into the motor vehicle crash that occurred on February 7th, 2025.

On the morning of February 14th, 2025 Alfredo Estrada a 48 year old male from Rocky Ford was booked into the Bent County Jail on the following charges: Drove Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs or Both-Refusal (Felony), 42-4-1301(1)(a) C.R.S., Owner-Operated Uninsured Motor Vehicle on a Public Roadway 42-4-1409(1) C.R.S., Failed to Present Insurance Upon Request, 42-4-1409(3) C.R.S., Reckless Driving, 42-4-1401(1) C.R.S., Aggravated Cruelty to Animals (Felony), 18-9-202(1.5)(a) C.R.S., Criminal Attempt to Commit Vehicular Assault (Felony), 18-3-205(1)(b)(I) C.R.S.

Captain Coates stated "I want to express my appreciation to my team at the Rocky Ford Police Department, the 16th Judicial District Attorneys Office and all the other agencies that have assisted in this investigation to ensure that the proper charges in this case were filed."
