Loretta "Lulu" Gwendlyn Leota Atencio was born on November 25, 1944 to Leo Nunez and Dora Atencio in Pueblo, CO. She was the younger of 2 girls. Due to her disabilities, Lulu lost contact with all of her family. Loretta was a client of the Arc of Pueblo when they became her guardian in 1980. Lulu was known for her smile. She wanted to be out in the community, always dressed for success with her beads, hat and purse. Lulu loved to show affection by giving hugs.

Lulu departed us on April 6, 2025. She is survived by her guardian and family of Inspiration Field.

A memorial service will be Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Inspiration Field. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery Columbarium.
