Obituary

Glenn Alan Davis “Minnow” passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Ark City Hospital at the age of 63. Glenn is survived by his wife Sandra (Sarlo), father Howard James, brother Brian (wife Candace), sister Tammy (Davis) Trimble, sons Tucker (wife Emily), Cole, and Seth (wife Sydney), daughter Grace (Davis) Buchanan (husband Tyler), and grandson Josiah, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn was born June 18, 1962 in La Junta, Colorado to LaVerne (Grasmick) and Howard James Davis. He graduated from La Junta High school in 1980 and married his high school sweetheart and best friend since 2nd grade, Sandra Sarlo in 1984. They moved to Ken Caryl Ranch where they enjoyed golf and adventures with friends.

In 1993, just before their first son, Tucker, was born, Glenn attained his graphic art degree and started his Graphic Design career. Their family grew in 1996 with the birth of their second son, Cole. Then in 1999, three weeks after the birth of their third son, Seth, God provided an opportunity to move to Arkansas City, KS which became their home. There they would have their fourth child, Grace.

Glenn’s children and family were his whole world and his happy place. Glenn was a lover of sweets, good coffee and sports of all kinds. He supported high school and Cowley College athletics when he could.

He enjoyed coaching at the ACRC and ACCA. Glenn knew sports was a way to connect with kids and he used every opportunity to mentor the youth. His truest joy was coaching his own kids.

Glenn served at Calvary Chapel Ark City as a deacon and with his love of music played on the worship team. He and Sandra also led the children’s ministry. Glenn had the heart of a servant. If he saw a need, he filled the need to the best of his ability. He never knew a stranger, only friends he hadn’t met yet.

He is preceded in death by his mother LaVerne, brother Steven, and grandchild Shiloh.

Arrangements will be handled by Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home & Crematory.

A service will be held Monday August 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of GOD Church in Arkansas City.
