Injury Crash on Highway 115

One Person Airlifted

(EL PASO COUNTY, COLO) - Today, on October 15, 2025, at approximately 1:49 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a semi and a Honda Civic on southbound Highway 115 at milepost 32.

The driver of the Honda Civic, a 52-year-old male, was transported to a local area hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. The driver of the semi, a 60-year-old male, did not report any injuries.

Preliminary information from the investigation shows that the driver of the Honda attempted to pass the semi on the right shoulder, lost control, struck a concrete barrier, struck the semi, and was then pushed off the roadway. As the vehicle exited the roadway, it went down an embankment.

The Colorado State Patrol is leading the investigation and will update with more information as it becomes available.
