Stabbing Reported After Home Invasion in Pueblo

HOME INVASION LEADS TO STABBING

On January 20, 2026, at approximately 1:08 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of N. Elizabeth Street on a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, Officers found a male laying in the middle of the street with a stab wound. The male victim was breathing but unconscious. 

One resident confronted the suspect for urinating on a vehicle in the area. The suspect ran towards a second resident/reporting party who was outside. The reporting party quickly retreated into his home. The suspect entered the home just as the reporting party armed himself with a sword. The reporting party stated as soon as he grabbed his sword, the suspect ran into it.

The suspect then walked out of the home and into the roadway where he collapsed. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Crimes Against Persons detectives along with Crime Scene Investigations personnel responded to the scene. The reporting party cooperated with detectives and was taken to the police station for an interview.

The suspect was listed in critical but stable condition. No arrests have been made at this time; the investigation is ongoing.
