Brush Fire Near Highway 194 Quickly Contained at 2.3 Acres

At approximately 2:56pm today we responded to a reported brush fire in the 32000 blk of Hwy 194.

The report was the fire was spreading fast.

Upon arrival crews made their way to the head of the fire to start knocking it down to prevent the spread toward the river bottom.

Crews secured the perimeter of the fire and kept the fire to a total of 2.3 acres.

Crews then worked at putting out all the hot spots.

The cause of the fire seem to be accidental.

DFPC Eng 34 and BC 34 assisted with fire suppression.

All returned to service.
