Congratulations to Las Animas High School Senior Shelby Eck for being a Daniels Scholarship Program finalist! On February 12th, Shelby will participate in an interview to determine if she will receive one of the scholarships.  In order to make it this far, Shelby has to have demonstrated the qualities of a Daniels Scholar.  These qualities are strength of character, leadership potential, commitment to serve the community, academic promise, emotional maturity and stability, and a well-rounded personality.  The Daniels Scholarship Program offers a comprehensive four-year scholarship for financial and personal support to any accredited non-profit college or university in the United States. Congratulations, Shelby!  Shelby is the daughter of Darrin and Julie Eck.
