ROCKY FORD BOXING CLUB OFFERS CHARACTER BUILDING EXPERIENCES
The Rocky Ford Boxing Club is a local non-profit organization based in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Coaches Marvin and Sherry Cordova lead the youth boxers on community outreach efforts like their recent tour of the Rocky Ford Public Safety Building. The Club plans on traveling to events and hopefully hosting an event this year in Rocky Ford. SECO News attended a Tuesday evening practice and the boxers and coaches were pumped for the exciting season ahead of them.
Coach Sherry Cordova Talks About a 2021 Boxing Camp Hosted By The Rocky Ford Boxing Club at a Recent Practice.
"The Rocky Ford Boxing Club recently visited the Rocky Ford Fire Department at the new Rocky Ford Public Safety building.
In partnership with Small Town Project we recently launched a Youth Leadership Development program for our boxers to build confidence and leadership capacity where we’ll be visiting local city departments and businesses to learn how leadership shows up in our community and how our youth can get involved.
At this visit we learned about the importance of our first responders and their role in our community!"
