DOLA Honors Amy White-Tanabe with All-Staff Award for Leadership and Community Impact in Southeast Colorado

Congratulations to Amy White-Tanabe, Southeast Regional Manager with the Division of Local Government, for recently receiving a DOLA All-Staff Award for her dedication to DOLA’s strategic pillar, “Educate & Elevate”!

We are proud of the work that Amy has done to elevate communities in the Southeast region since she joined our team in September 2025.

When asked what she enjoys most about her work she says, “My favorite part is the opportunity to work with rural communities on issues that have a real impact on people’s daily lives. I enjoy building relationships, helping communities think through challenges, and being part of projects that can make a real difference. I also love that the work keeps me learning and connected to southeastern Colorado.”

Amy consistently goes above and beyond. She cares so much about keeping local residents informed that she is known to have walked door-to-door to hand out flyers about town meetings!

Thank you, Amy, for your dedicated public service and contributions to DOLA!
