Starting May 1, 2026- a new fee for Out-of-State license plates will go into effect at Colorado State Parks. Daily passes for Out-of-State vehicles will be increasing from $10 to $15 per pass.

The Parks and Wildlife Commission approved the increase in the Out-of-State Daily Vehicle Pass fee during the March 2026 meeting. The funds generated from the increase will support important work to maintain and enhance our parks throughout the state.

A variable price structure between residents and nonresidents is something that has long been codified within our regulations for hunting and fishing licenses. Similarly, other states charge variable fees for non-residents for admission to their state parks.

Annual pass prices will not be affected by the change.
