James Julius Rodriguez, 78, of Fowler entered into eternal life on February 2, 2021 at Fowler Nursing Home. He was born on June 19, 1942 in Colorado Springs to Jose Felix & Guadalupe (Ferrezas) Rodriguez.
He was raised in Swink where he attended school and graduated in 1962. He was very active in football and basketball. After high school he joined the air force and he served honorably for four years. He enjoyed many years working on the railroad.
James was a loving and devoted father. He loved Jesus, telling a good corny joke! He also loved his church family (Church of Christ). He never met a stranger and didn’t miss an opportunity to share “The Good News!”
He is survived by his daughters, Sandi (Garlon, Sr.) Guerin and Dawn Romero; six grandchildren, Kevin Romero, Aeryn (Ryan) Adams, Audra (Chris) Winstead, Amara Romero, Kyrah and Garlon, Jr. Guerin; great-grandchildren, Melinna, Addison, McKenzie, Dustin, Emma and Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Enjinyo Rodriguez, John, Benji, Richard, Rufus, James Baca and George; sisters, Madalena Rodriguez, Mary, Connie Moreno, and Jessie Montez..
Memorial service is pending and time and date will be announced.
