Description: A crash involving a modular home closed Highway 62 at milepost 10, about nine miles east of Placerville, after half of the structure fell from a flatbed trailer and blocked both lanes. Crash Involving a Modular Home on Highway 62

(SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, COLO) - On March 22, 2026, at approximately 6:48 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash involving a modular home on Highway 62 at milepost 10 (9 miles east of the Placerville area).
Half of a modular home fell off a flatbed trailer and is blocking the roadway in both directions. There are no reports of injury at this time.
The Colorado State Patrol is leading the crash investigation with no cause determined at this time.
It is unknown when the roadway will reopen. Motorists are encouraged to choose alternate routes. Check COtrip.org for real-time updates on road closures and traffic delays.
