**UPDATE** Southbound E-470 Closed For Incident Investigation

The roadway has reopened

(Adams County, COLORADO) - This is an update for the crash that occurred this morning at approximately 6:19 a.m. on southbound E-470 near 48th Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 34-year-old male, involved in the collision, was pronounced dead on scene. The Adams County Coroner will identify the deceased after notifying his next of kin.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado remained on scene to assist law enforcement with the investigation. The driver of the Chevrolet had no reports of injury at this time.

The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit will be the lead investigating agency for this incident. The crash investigation is ongoing.

Southbound E-470 was closed from milepost 23 to 24, with traffic being diverted at 48th Avenue for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. The roadway was reopened at approximately 9:09 a.m.
