Bear Fire Grows to 125 Acres in Las Animas County, Prompting Evacuations and Multi-Agency Response

The La Junta Fire Department is currently assisting Las Animas County with a wild fire.

The Bear Fire is approx 125 acres. It is located off of Hwy 350 and Rd 133.8. There have been some evacuations of some homes.

There are multiple agencies on this fire. It has also supported with air resources.

La Junta Brush 3 and Chief Davidson are assigned to the North side of the fire. 

All agencies are working hard to help contain this fire.
