Obituary

A celebration of life for longtime Granada, Colorado resident, Ancel Malone will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Bristol, Colorado.

Visitation for Ancel will be held from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Ancel was born on September 26, 1950 at Quanah, Texas to Charles Alvin “CA” and Beulah Alice (Scott) Malone and passed away at his sons home surrounded by his family on June 09, 2026 at the age of 75.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Jackie Malone, son Shad Malone, son-in-law Clinton “Clint” Bean, his parents, brother Al Malone, sister Alice Malone and brother-in-law Roger DuVall.

Ancel is survived by his children Todd (Trisha) Malone of Walsh, CO and Tonya Bean of Lamar, CO, grandchildren Shelby (Casey) Painter, Paige (Jonathan) England, Aly Bean, Justin Bean and Cody Malone. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Aleah, Colter and Ryder Painter, his sister Sheryl (David) Holden, sisters-in-law Becky (Rick) Richardson and Donna Malone, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South East Colorado Cancer Initiative either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
