**CORRECTION AND UPDATE** CSP Investigating Crash on Colorado Boulevard

(ADAMS COUNTY, COLO) - This is an update and correction for the crash that happened this morning on August, 21, 2026, at approximately 6:34 a.m.

The patrol vehicle had its lights activated. 

The RTD train has minor damage. All passengers were removed, placed on RTD buses, and left the scene.

There are no fatalities reported. This remains a crash with no reports of injury.

CSP Investigating Incident on I-270 Exit Ramp

(ADAMS COUNTY,  COLO) - On August 20, 2026, at approximately 8:24 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol responded to a report of a pedestrian running in front of vehicles in the area of westbound I-270 near eastbound I-76 in Commerce City, CO. 

The trooper did not locate the pedestrian in the reported area, but saw Adams County Deputies and Fire on the exit ramp from westbound I-270 near westbound I-76 with a deceased pedestrian. It is unknown at this time if the deceased person is the pedestrian in the original call the trooper was responding to. 

The pedestrian was struck post-mortem by a vehicle. The driver involved remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. 

The male pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. The identity of the person will be released by the Adams County Coroner after next of kin has been notified. 

The ramp from westbound I-270 to westbound I-76 is closed. It is unknown when the roadway will reopen. Choose alternate routes. Check COtrip.org for updates. 

The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, with the cause of death undetermined at this time.
