NEW HOMES FOR OSPREYS AT LATHROP STATE PARK!

We are thrilled to share a major win for wildlife at Lathrop State Park! Next time you visit, look up—you might notice some fantastic new additions to our skyline.
 
Last summer, the incredibly hardworking scouts from Scout Troop 268 built brand-new osprey nesting platforms. To help bring this project to life, San Isabel Electric stepped up in a huge way by generously donating the utility poles and providing the labor to erect the structures safely.
 
Ospreys are magnificent raptors that rely on high, sturdy structures near water to raise their young. Thanks to this incredible community partnership, they now have premier real estate waiting for them right here at Lathrop.
 
We are keeping our fingers crossed and our binoculars ready for next April! That is when these beautiful birds return from their winter migration, and we hope to see our very first residents claim these platforms as their new home.
