All concerts take place in the Ed Stafford Theatre at Otero College. A season ticket for all the concerts is $60 for those 18 and over. This concert membership not only provides six concerts in La Junta, but also allows admission to 16 community concerts held in Lamar, Canon City, and Raton, NM. Admission to individual La Junta concerts may be purchased at the door for $20, but AVCCA hopes everyone will buy $60 memberships, a bargain per-concert price.

The first concert in La Junta will be a 2 pm Sunday matinee on September 27. After Midnight is a six-piece band playing swing, blues and jazz. They performed here several years ago, and they are a favorite, with many requests to bring them back.

It Takes 2 in October, a duo sings tributes to pairs from Romeo & Juliet to Johnny Cash & June Carter, featuring pops and Broadway.

In November, ArcoStrum, a duet trained at Juilliard, plays classical, music from films, and songs from Argentina and China on violin, guitar, electric guitar, and traditional Chinese instruments.

January brings Take 3, Rock Meets Bach, a trio on piano, cello and violin playing mashups of such pieces as Carmen, Flight of the Bumblebee and Amazing Grace, paired with rock anthems. The Beatles, Billy Joel, Elvis, Neil Diamond, Coldplay, and Justin Bieber are heard in their arrangements.

Solomon Jay dances into our theatre with Tap Into Soul in February. A world-class tap dancer, he brings soul music to our stage vocally, and on piano and guitar.

AVCCA's season comes to a rousing end in March with Nu Blu, a foursome on guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin and vocals, playing country and bluegrass.
