 La Junta Senior Golf League - results for September 1, 2026

The La Junta Senior Golf League enjoyed a beautiful day of golf on September 1. The 41 golfers in attendance were divided into eight teams. There was no challenge putt, but there were two challenge chips. Hole #7 was a regular challenge; no one was able to make that. A chip on Hole #5 had a ring in the middle of the fairway and participants tried to chip into the ring for a prize.  Connie Buchner was the only one to make it into the ring. Lastly, there was a smaller ring in front of Hole #2.  If any golfer’s tee shot went into that ring, the team could score a birdie on the hole. No one made it into that ring.

Next Tuesday, September 8, a Par-3 course is planned. Registration will be open from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m., with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
